This is a complex gallery with categories supporting image files (jpg, jpeg, png or gif), video files (flv, mov, mp4 or any other h.264 video), audio files (mp3) with album art image and flash animated swf files.
We also included our acclaimed PHP Administration System (CMS) as a bonus to this file, so you can either use the xml version or admin one ! The admin supports multiple galleries, live preview and many cool new features (and we plan on making a major update soon to all our admin files, it's going to rock !). Check out the admin preview link below and take it for a test-drive !
The top navigation can have any number of categories and you can choose the alignment within the XML settings. If there are more categories than can be displayed, you will be able to scroll them horizontally using mouse movement.
The thumbnail grid can have an unlimited number of thumbnails, with the possibility to scroll the pages using the arrow-like buttons. You will get info tips on the displayed images when moving the mouse cursor over the items. There are tons of settings you can change to customize the grid and the thumbnails.
Clicking a thumbnail will open the viewer, which can either show image, video, audio or swf. Use the navigation buttons to see the next or previous files, or click the info button to see the current file description if available. Any video or audio file will show the bottom controls, where you can seek, change the volume, pause or resume the playback.
You can zoom the video area to fullscreen with a double-click, by clicking the fullscreen button or by hitting the F key on the keyboard. In fullscreen as well as on normal view you can control the playback or the volume using the keyboard arrow keys.
Almost each text field supports HTML formatting and has the capability to display the most common foreign/special characters.
The gallery was designed to work with a fluid 100% layout or a fixed layout. You can specify this in the XML settings. You can event set a percentage value for the width and a fixed value for the width. You won’t have any problems with showing the video on fullscreen, as it uses the capabilities of Flash Player 9.0.115.0 to make a certain zone on the stage, fullscreen. It can be easily loaded into other projects as long as the XML path is correctly specified and the gallery is correctly setup. Possibilities are unlimited.
